"It's a Jump... to conclusions mat!"
The classic movie Office Space was on the other day, and noticed something I hadn't really paid attention to before: Peter's apartment. This might be because I recently joined the ranks of single apartment-dwellers who work in the IT industry. Anyway, the layered decor on top of apartment "neutrals" was hilarious and nauseating at the same time.
Which brings me to the Jump To Conclusions Mat. You know, I have quite a few brilliant money-making ideas of my own: Der Puzzlemacher, the FridgeFrame, the riveting family fun board game Iconoclash... Sure, I think they're brilliant, but to everyone else, are they just more Jump To Conclusions Mats?

Three crayons and a NASCAR race
My living room wall was looking a bit bare, so I drove down to the local art supply store for some oil pastels. The store owner took me out back to show me "Birdie" and her friends, an unkindness of cautious ravens that he feeds every morning above the trout-filled creek.
Pastels in hand, I comandeered a pattern from a B+N wall panel and went to town.
One NASCAR Busch Series race later (congratulations Carl Edwards!) I had a wall that was no longer soul-sucking white-ish.

My First: Post
I got a great idea for a line of children's books along the "My First" lines. They'd be starkly Libertarian and unflinchingly propagandic, yet funny, in a "it's funny 'cuz it's true" kind of way.
Some samples:
• My First Look at the United States Treaty with Tripoli
• My First Protest: Why it's a good thing Che Guevara's dead
• My First Campaign Against Socialism
• My First Anti-Faith-Based Initiative Book
and from my brother, always the wit:
• My First Dividend: Mommy why is corporate income taxed twice as income and then a third time as a distribution?
I think there really could be a market for these... as soon as I have kids, that is.
Welcome to Calico Whitney.
